Top Tips for Applying EFT by Yourself
1. Allocate yourself some time - at least half an hour - when you will be undisturbed and can make a start on learning and applying EFT.
2. Start by writing down exactly what you want to use EFT on. If there are multiple aspects to a particular issue write down all of them. E.g. Write "my fear of heights" and include "feel sick at the thought of being up high", "feel dizzy when I look down" and "scared I'm going to fall".
3. Take time to read through the 'EFT Basics' ebook and familiarise yourself with the instructions thoroughly.
4. Take a print of the relevant pages so you can refer to them whenever you need to without being in front of your computer.
5. When you apply EFT make sure you have the time and space to really focus on your issue.
6. Apply several rounds of EFT to each aspect, even if you feel an improvement after one round.
7. Use EFT persistently - don't give up straight away if the results are slow. Just keep applying rounds to the same aspect, and then look for other aspects of the same issue to work on.
8. Take every opportunity to use EFT. Choose a time every day when you have nothing else to do. Perhaps while in the bath, before you go to sleep or in a coffee break.
9. Test your progress by checking in regularly how you feel about your issue. Note the changes down on paper using the 0-10 scale so you can see how far you've come and what is still left to be done.
10. Once you are familiar with EFT apply it to absolutely anything and everything! It's your new best friend to help you through all of life's difficult moments. © Sarah Holland, 2009.
